First off  a quick recognition is in order, let’s all raise our hypothetical glasses (some of you may have a real glass) to the mothers out there.  These amazing women that are raising the next generation.

They are the first ones up and the last ones to bed.  They  battle through mounds of diapers, laundry, dishes, homework, grocery shopping, Pinterest pins to make things cute, more diapers, more laundry, etc.  In fact I think most men would rather be covered in paper cuts and dunked in a lemon juice tank then deal with all the things a mother handles, so thank you to all of you.

This page is for you, if you want, here I will post simple and fun activities to do with your little ones.  These will teach simple principles of cooking and science.  Cooking is nothing without science.

Let me tell you how this came about.  My two little foodie doodies (my boys) are busy as can be.  I think that they revel in their destructive capabilities, it is like watching a tsunami meet a tornado (really would be rather impressive if they weren’t my kids).

My fantastic wife handles these two so well.  She wrangles them like a regular buckarette (not sure if that is a word, let’s just say it is and define it as an awesome cowgirl).

She asked me to start putting together food and science activities for the boys to teach them about how food is made, where it comes from, and the science behind it.  I try and get the boys involved when I can, in fact they helped make mozzarella, but she wanted stuff geared especially for them.

So this is where you’ll find just that.  All the posts under this page will be for kid focused.

You may want to try some with your kids, others you may just want to use the information and pictures I give to explain something. I will try and post a new kid zone post every Wednesday so there will always be something new for you to do with your own children.

Who knows, you may even convert them in to your own little foodie doodies?
